FROM THE BEGINNING

Here at V.I.P we seek to combine quality coaches, hardworking athletes, and core values that promote maximum growth of our participants. We believe that the underlying values we teach are fundamental to every player's development as an athlete, and person. Although one of our goals is to run on of the best PROGRAMS in the region, we recognize that the most important lessons we teach extends beyond the gym. It is our mission to blend passion with perspective; to combine the love of the sport with knowledge, integrity and discipline.

SINCE 2003 WE HAVE BEEN ONE OF THE TRI-VALLEYS LEADING INSTRUCTIONAL VOLLEYBALL PROGRAMS.

WHY CLUB VOLLEYBALL?

For those players and parents who want something beyond recreational volleyball in the off-season, club volleyball is perhaps the best answer. The “Club system”, with its lengthy season and larger coaching staff, is better able to provide a more comprehensive training program then at your average high school. Position training and detailed attention to individual skill development, are some of the main benefits of participation in a club programs.  Many of the clubs have within their staff’s veteran coaches with extensive background and knowledge.  Each player has their own incentives for playing club. Many use it to develop into solid high school players. For some it is an opportunity to pursue a college scholarship. For everyone it becomes a vehicle for personal growth, increased self-confidence, maturation, and goal development.

WHEN IS THE SEASON?

Player evaluations for our travel teams begin in November. Travel team rosters are set, practices begin in November.  Tournament play begins in January and is held on either a Saturday or Sunday with some events being two-day or three-day tournaments. The tournament dates are set by the NCVA and listed on their NCVA website and we have no control over when, where or what time the tournaments are scheduled. There are additional invitational and/or recruiting tournaments which some of our teams will attend throughout the season. The season may climaxes with  teams attending the National  Championships or J.O. Club V.I.P. is committed to providing each of its players with an equitable opportunity to participate in all practice sessions. Playing time will be contingent upon level of commitment, work ethic, and attendance at practices. There will be a higher priority for success placed on our more advanced teams.

SELECTION CRITERIA

The power league coaches will be looking for highly motivated players with strong work ethic, positive attitudes, and the athletic ability to develop into competitive athletes.  The Area league program will practice twice a week. This program will emphasize skill development and position training.
